Tyler McLeod is an employment law and civil litigation attorney who brings over two decades of distinguished legal experience to the Caplan & Earnest litigation team. Throughout his career, Tyler has demonstrated exceptional skill in advising organizations on human resources compliance matters, conducting internal investigations, and developing comprehensive employment policies and agreements. Tyler brings valuable insight from both public and private sector experience to complex litigation matters, offering clients strategic guidance through challenging legal landscapes.

As a senior trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of the Solicitor, Tyler has successfully led complex federal litigation involving wage and hour enforcement, ERISA compliance, workplace safety regulations, and various employment statutes. His practice includes all phases of litigation, from case development through trial practice, with expertise in federal statutory enforcement.

Prior to his government service, Tyler was a partner at a law firm in Omaha, Nebraska, where he chaired both the employment law and litigation practice groups. His practice included defending employment claims, representing political subdivisions, and litigating business disputes.

A graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law, Tyler served as a Law Clerk to the Chief Judge of the Kansas Court of Appeals before entering private practice. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys gravel and mountain biking, curling, skiing, and exploring the outdoors.
