MASTERMINDS FRONTLINE

Caplan & Earnest is pleased to partner with Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) to offer an exclusive, free masterminding experience designed for teachers and service providers who work directly with students with disabilities.

Through Masterminds Frontline, you will learn valuable information and skills while building camaraderie with a cohort of the best-and-brightest peers who understand the demands of this work. In your sessions, you’ll engage in refreshing, action-oriented conversations with seasoned attorneys and fellow educators, and gain the clarity you need to deliver the support and leadership your colleagues and school communities deserve.

CSDSIP is fully funding this Masterminds Frontline pilot program for 20 participants as an exclusive membership benefit. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure broad participation, a CSDSIP member organization may enroll up to two frontline providers, as noted in the eligibility section, below.

Masterminds Frontline Schedule

Masterminds Frontline meetings convene approximately once per month on Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. and will cover the following topics:

  • November 6: Child Find & Private Evaluations
  • November 20: Meaningful Parent Participation, Location, & Educational Placement
  • December 4: Staffing Shortages, Paraprofessionals, & Certified Assistants
  • January 8: Progress Monitoring & Reporting
  • January 29: Medically Necessary Services & School-Based vs. Clinic-Based Services
  • February 12: Section 504 Related Aids & Services
  • February 19: Formal Dispute Resolution & Agency Complaints
  • March 5: Student Discipline & Manifestation Determination Reviews
  • April 9: Student Removals for Safety-Driven Reasons
  • April 23: Restraint & Seclusion

Beth is attuned to the nuances and rippling effects of disputes arising between families and school teams. She guides Masterminds to rise above an immediate frustration point, orient their efforts productively, and find their way to solutions that honor the best in everyone involved.

Hope specializes in finding simplicity within chaos, allowing Masterminds to cut through distraction and to act with clarity and purpose. Her Masterminds amplify their impact month after month as they sharpen their acumen and approach to emerging issues.

The Masterminds Frontline fee is paid for by CSDSIP as an exclusive benefit of membership.

Frontline Masterminds, a pilot program funded by CSDSIP, is open only to employees of CSDSIP member entities; case managers, special education teachers, speech language pathologists, school social workers, school psychologists, adaptive PE teachers, occupational therapists, and physical therapists are eligible to participate in Masterminds Frontline.

Attorneys, board members, non-employee parents, community members, and non-CSDSIP members are not eligible to participate in Caplan & Earnest’s Masterminds Frontline Program. Caplan & Earnest staff will verify the accuracy of registration information.

Please note that participation in the Masterminds program does not create an attorney-client relationship with Caplan & Earnest. Presentations do not constitute legal advice, and discussions during Mastermind meetings are not protected by attorney-client privilege.
