Ava Cusack’s practice is based in our Boulder office. She is a skilled attorney known for tenaciously representing her clients from inception through settlement or trial. She practices as part of the Caplan & Earnest Family/Divorce Law team.

Prior to joining Caplan & Earnest, Ava was an attorney at Overturf McGath & Hull, P.C. in Denver, where she handled all aspects of litigation from case inception to mediation and trial. While attending law school, she served as a law clerk in the Boulder City Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted criminal cases under the Student Practice Act and developed a keen sense of the inner workings of municipal government, particularly in the areas of criminal, environmental, constitutional, and transactional law. She also gained experience as an intern at Geraghty Law Office supporting clients with real estate and premises liability matters. She is licensed to practice in Colorado and Wyoming.

Ava enjoys snowboarding, disc golfing, reading, game nights with friends, and spending time with her two dogs.

Ava earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law where she was a Colorado Appellate Advocacy finalist and her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
