Law Week Colorado Names Gwyneth Whalen Best Civil Litigator

Caplan & Earnest member Gwyneth Whalen has been recognized in Law Week Colorado’s 2022 Barrister’s Best awards as the state’s Best Civil Litigator. The annual awards recognize attorneys who are selected as the best in the state by a vote of the legal community and as selected by the publication’s editors.

In recognizing Gwyneth, Law Week Colorado said, “Gwyneth Whalen is the leader of Caplan & Earnest’s litigation practice group and in her practice, she conducts workplace investigations for both private and public employers. Bringing her experience as a former judge and litigator to the fore, her unique perspective and expertise bring a neutral fact-finding approach to high-profile matters.”

Gwyneth has successfully represented clients in a number of high-profile cases over the course of her career. Most recently, her work as co-counsel in the case Franco v. City of Boulder yielded the largest civil penalty verdict – $3.41 million – in the history of the city.
