Hannah Wurl’s practice is based out of Caplan and Earnest’s Boulder office. Ms. Wurl is a trust and estates and transactional attorney who supports Caplan & Earnest clients with estate planning, probate, nonprofit, business, and real estate issues. 

Ms. Wurl’s representative experiences include the following:

• Developing tailored estate plans that may include wills, trusts, powers of attorney,  and other planning vehicles to facilitate wealth transfer and tax mitigation
• Guiding individuals and families through all phases of estate settlement, from probate and trust administration to property transfers and fiduciary representation
• Handling guardianship and conservatorship proceedings on behalf of minors and adults who cannot manage their own affairs
• Assisting clients with philanthropic planning strategies involving charitable trusts, private foundations, and related vehicles
• Advising on premarital and postmarital agreements designed to preserve family wealth and clarify financial responsibilities
• Supporting businesses and nonprofit entities with entity formation, governance, and operational matters
• Drafting and negotiating real estate documents for acquisitions, sales, co-ownership arrangements, and commercial or residential leases

While in law school, Ms. Wurl worked as a legal extern for the Department of Justice in its Appellate Section of the Tax Division; the IRS Office of Chief Counsel; and as an intern at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights.

Ms. Wurl earned her law degree from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University in Arlington, VA, with a concentration in tax law. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she graduated cum laude and was a track and cross-country athlete.
