Travis Miller’s practice is based in our Boulder office. He is a member of Caplan & Earnest’s Healthcare and Litigation practice groups. He specializes in representing government entities, not-for-profit corporations, small businesses, and individuals in complex litigation before state and federal tribunals. Mr. Miller first joined Caplan & Earnest as a law clerk, and prior to that he clerked for the Werge Law Group and interned for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado in Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Miller counsels clients on risk management and conducts independent outside investigations on their behalf. His practice includes claims that concern personal injury, medical negligence, civil rights violations, charges of employment discrimination, commercial disputes, and construction defects.
Mr. Miller earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, where he graduated in the top 15 percent of his class. During law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Team and the Colorado Barrister’s Council. He was also a staff writer for the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law Journal and participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic, where he provided free legal services to low-income members of the community.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Miller served in the United States Peace Corps in the Republic of The Gambia, in West Africa, where he lived in a mud-brick house without electricity or running water. During this time period, he also had the opportunity to travel extensively around Africa and Europe.
In his spare time, Mr. Miller can be found in the mountains with his loyal canine companion, Sgt. Pepper, camping, skiing, or just exploring.
